Detailed description: Double-sided coated flexible root barrier mesh

What are root barriers?

Invisible once installed, root barriers are devices placed in the soil to limit or guide the growth of tree and shrub roots. Their main purpose is to protect infrastructure and other plants. As roots develop, they can damage sidewalks, roads, walls, building foundations, and underground utilities.

The Plantcotex™ Racine Extra is a double-coated polyethylene root barrier designed to prevent tree roots from causing damage and to protect networks. Fully waterproof and cost-effective, it is easy to install and widely appreciated for its performance. Additionally, flexible meshes can be joined together using a special connector kit, allowing protection over long distances, such as along roads or pathways.

Why using it?

– Infrastructure protection: prevents roots from damaging sidewalks, roads, walls, foundations, and underground utilities
– Root guidance: redirects roots away from sensitive areas to control their spread
– Invasive control: can contain aggressive species like bamboo or Japanese knotweed, protecting nearby vegetation.
